shabby table re-do

so i have been working on re-decorating my family room...we have almost finished up the board and batten. i promise i will post some pictures soon.

meanwhile i am working on some funner things for the room

i have SEVERAL things (projects) in mind for this room

first up is this lovely table i re-fab'd

i LOVE how this table turned out

this is what i started with

a drop leaf table that needed lot's of love

i painted a coat of primer

and then followed with a light aqua paint

i knew i was going to distress it but i still felt like it needed something else

i decided to add a stencil

i am so glad i did:)

i then took it outside and sanded the heck out of it..

the end result is exactly the look i was going for

now comes the fun part

bringing it inside and loading it up with stuff

i will post some photos after it all comes together

we started off with 2 of these kits
they run around $10, and i have seen them everywhere
and off they went

my girls had so much fun making these together

they didn't even fight while making them

and they even helped each other out...when needed

we had to reconstruct Josie's house several times
