shabby table re-do

so i have been working on re-decorating my family room...we have almost finished up the board and batten. i promise i will post some pictures soon.

meanwhile i am working on some funner things for the room

i have SEVERAL things (projects) in mind for this room

first up is this lovely table i re-fab'd

i LOVE how this table turned out

this is what i started with

a drop leaf table that needed lot's of love

i painted a coat of primer

and then followed with a light aqua paint

i knew i was going to distress it but i still felt like it needed something else

so....

i decided to add a stencil

i am so glad i did:)

i then took it outside and sanded the heck out of it..

the end result is exactly the look i was going for

now comes the fun part

bringing it inside and loading it up with stuff

i will post some photos after it all comes together

Oh migosh! I thought this was a sign from the thumbnail and now I see it's a table! Darn it, I am kicking myself now for not getting the table like this I saw at the goodwill yesterday. This turned out perfect! http://designergarden.blogspot.com/2011/04/vip-party-10.html
